Meet the Founder

Truman Smith started Garden Smith LLC with a simple belief: gardens deserve care that’s thoughtful, sustainable, and truly transformative. More than just providing service, Truman is committed to creating outdoor spaces that make both people and nature thrive.

With a deep knowledge of plant identification and over five years of hands-on landscaping experience, he combines practical expertise with a love for nurturing gardens of all sizes. Truman’s approach is personal, attentive, and rooted in best practices — ensuring every tree, shrub, and flower receives the care it needs to flourish.

    Emma Parkinson

    Emma is both a Fine Gardener and landscape designer in training. She still works with our predecessor DreamGarden Design to design both beautiful landscapes for our clients, and gorgeous native meadows for the San Juan Conservation District.

    Gabe Linzzer-Pew

    Plant enthusiast, pond enthusiast, greenhouse enthusiast. Gabe Linzzer-Pew is the newest to the team but brings a breadth of knowledge from his training to be a plant nursery manager. You can count on him for top of the line pruning work, pond advice and consultations and fun facts about how to grow things from twig and seed.
